The history of Hawker400 business jets does not end with the manufacturer’s bankruptcy. American businessman Kenneth Ricky’s Nextant Aerospace project
was the most successful and thrilling eff ort to breathe a second life into them. He revamped this lightweight jet extensively. He literally ‘zeroed’ it in all aspects
so much that a different type certificate was awarded by the American authorities to the Nextant 400XTi model as it was an absolutely new model.
The concept behind Nextant is to replace the obsolete components in the aircraft and thereby extend the commercial life of the fixed-winged aircraft .
Due to many upgrades, including, for instance, complete wiring replacement and new engine gondola mounts Nextant was able to improve the flight speed
to 872 km/h. The cabin became roomier and much quieter, and the pilots can now enjoy the new Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21™ avionics system.
